The Bollinger Bands indicator (Stripes, waves, Bollinger Bands) is a technical analysis indicator developed by John Bolinger in the 80s of the twentieth century. Represents three lines. Very similar to a regular channel built on a moving average, like the Envelopes indicator. The difference between BB and peers is how its boundaries are built. Usually the boundaries of such channels are at some fixed value, and in this case, the distance from the center is indicated in standard deviations and depends on the current volatility of the trading instrument. That is, if the channel expands, this indicates that volatility is growing, if on the contrary, it is falling.
